I am going to pass my class 12th this year but not with god grades because I didn’t study well, so am going to repeat my class 12th as a private candidate. I’ve applied for JEE and BITSAT. Next year when I’ll appear for JEE I’ll be considered as a dropper but my main concercn is that will I be considered as a dropper for BITSAT also? Or I can appear for BITSAT in 2026 and 2027 or I’ve only 2026 attempt only.

As per the latest BITSAT norms (usually consistent year to year):

  1. You are eligible for BITSAT only in the year you passed 12th and the following year.

    So if you:

    1. Pass class 12th in 2025 (as a private candidate) → You can appear for BITSAT in 2025 and 2026 only .

    2. You cannot appear for BITSAT in 2027 , as that would be the second year after your 12th .

What counts as “year of passing”?

It’s the year printed on your final Class 12 marksheet , not your original attempt.
